About the role
Subway Maryborough is seeking an experienced 2IC (Second-in-Command) to join our dynamic team. As a part-time role, you will play a crucial supporting part in the day-to-day operations and management of our Maryborough, Queensland restaurant. Your focus will be on ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient workflow within our vibrant hospitality environment.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting the Store Manager in all aspects of restaurant operations, including team leadership, inventory management, and quality control
* Providing excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction
* Effectively communicating with the team to coordinate schedules, resolve issues, and maintain a positive work environment
* Monitoring and maintaining proper food handling, safety, and sanitation practices
* Supporting the development and training of team members
* Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing them
* Deputising for the Store Manager in their absence

* Prior experience in a similar 2IC or management role within the hospitality industry
* Strong leadership and people management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure
