About the opportunity
Post Graduates are an integral part of Mercy Health's Commitment to develop our future workforce and as such, we welcome you to join our team to provide compassionate and responsive care to people in need.
Our programs are designed to support whilst making the transition from student to registered midwife within a supportive and welcoming environment. The aim is to promote educational opportunities to graduates as they consolidate their theoretical and clinical skills. This is a structured program with a comprehensive orientation, professional development leave, and debriefing sessions which are supported by a dedicated learning team.

To thrive in this role, you will have:
* Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
* A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
* The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
* Meets academic entry requirements of recent acute clinical nursing experience
* Applied for enrolment in the Graduate Diploma of Midwifery at La Trobe University
* A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
* Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.

* Letter of application (cover letter) including your application enrolment in the Graduate Diploma of Midwifery at La Trobe University
* Two-page Curriculum vitae, relevant experience and clinical rotations.
* Three referees (at least two need to be clinical referees) including their professional title, place of work and both email and phone contact details.
