Job Description
SGS is looking for a Laboratory Assistant to join the team in Tennant Creek, NT. The roster will be 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, days only.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Unloading, loading, sorting, and weighing samples onto drying racks while maintaining numerical order.
2. Reconciling samples delivered with the sample submission form, including extras and missing samples, on the sample sorting sheet (ISO sheet).
3. Crushing, filter pressing, splitting samples, and transferring sub-samples for digestion, maintaining numerical order, following established quality control procedures, and avoiding contamination.
Qualifications
The successful applicant will have:
* Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques (desirable)
* Previous laboratory experience (desirable)
* Experience with AAS and PAL is desirable but not essential.
