What you'll be doing
This is an existing position that currently oversees the Transformation Program across Virgin Australia Group (including our regional airline VARA and our loyalty program Velocity). This is a high-profile role where the person will work with (and have extensive exposure to) Senior and Executive Leaders throughout the business.
There are two key objectives for the Senior Manager, Transformation role.
* To continue evolving and improving our reporting disciplines and accuracy across the large and complex Transformation programs
* To provide strategic insights across the program and drive the triage of existing initiatives, ideation of new initiatives, and problem solving with senior leadership and initiative owners
You'll be great in this role if you have...
* A bachelor's degree, ideally in the fields of Business, Economics, Commerce or similar (an MBA will be highly regarded)
* Significant background and experience in Management Consulting and Business Strategy development
* Experience within Airlines and/or Loyalty will be highly regarded but not required
* Demonstrated Leadership experience
* Previous exposure to or direct experience in Program management, Program reporting, or PMOs
* Experience with creating complex models in Excel
* Experience with leading business processes, leadership, risk management and implementation of change
* Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills and the ability to influence key stakeholders across large businesses
* Previous experience in leading teams, and execution of roles that require providing advice and insights that drive decision making
Responsibilities
* Owning the Executive Leader and Board reporting for Transformation
* Directing deep dives on programs and initiatives to provide strategic insights and answer Executive Leader and Board questions regarding the transformation program
* Supporting on-going improvements to Transformation governance and reporting automation
* Working closely with senior leaders and executives to improve and broaden transformation pipeline
* Supporting/driving development of select strategic initiatives that will have meaningful impact to the overall Transformation Program
* Providing support to divisions on their transformation programs to unlock value in their existing initiatives
* Manage internal cross-functional and external consulting teams, to unlock transformational value across all potential areas
