Shift times and Location
We are seeking a compassionate Support Worker to assist a client with regular community access shifts.
The successful candidate will be available on Tuesday and Thursdays from 3.00pm - 7.00pm, supporting travel and activities between Seymour and Sunday Creek.
Please note: travelling costs are reimbursed.
Additional hours may be available as the client's goals expand, including swimming and attending the gym.

Your ResponsibilitiesAs a Support Worker with Morcare, you will assist clients with the following tasks:
* Pick up the client and provide supervision and support
* Assist with light shopping (e.g. lunch items) and community outings (fun shopping trips using pocket money)
* Motivate and support with homework, including speech pathology-related tasks
* Encourage physical activity such as walking on the property, using a treadmill or dancing along to YouTube videos
* Engage in fun home based activities such as reading, colouring and crocheting
* Support the client in achieving new goals including swimming and attending a gym
About you The client thrives with a Support Worker who is:
* Engaging, energetic and bubbly
* Outgoing and active, enjoys dancing and walking
* Proactive and able to come up with creative and enjoyable activities
* A great listener, responsive to the client's mood and energy levels
QualificationsA certificate or qualification related to Support Work duties is preferred but not required.
We may consider transferable skills and personal experience as part of your application.

Your Requirements
* Working with Children's Check
* NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance (or willingness to obtain)
* Current and valid Level 2 First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificates
* Certificate III or IV in Disability or Aged Care, or equivalent industry experience (preferred but not essential)
* Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
* Smartphone compatible with our rostering app (Apple App Store or Google Play Store)
* Safe and reliable vehicle and comprehensive car insurance
* International Police Check - if you have lived overseas for 12+ months in the last 10 years
* Proof of work entitlement (if applicable)
* Two professional employment references
* Excellent communication and time management skills
* Reliable and punctual
* Caring nature and ability to understand and respond to client needs
