Contract Trainers (Trades and Civil) - EOI

Aboriginal Enterprises Australia (AEA) Training is seeking experienced and passionate Contract Trainers and Assessors to deliver nationally recognised training across the Northern Territory.
We are expanding our training delivery footprint and are seeking expressions of interest from reliable, engaging and industry experienced trainers, across Carpentry and Civil Construction. These opportunities will suit trainers who are passionate about delivering high-quality outcomes, particularly within Indigenous communities and remote locations across the Northern Territory.
About The Roles
These contract roles will support the delivery of apprenticeship, school-based and workplace training, including:
* CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry, and/or
* RII Civil Construction qualifications (Certificate I, II and III)
Training delivery may involve all, or a combination of:
* Classroom-based facilitation
* Practical skills training
* Workplace assessment and support
The roles require regular travel to training centres, employer worksites and remote communities throughout the NT.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver and assess CPC Carpentry and/or RII Civil Construction units in line with relevant Training Packages, ASQA standards and current industry requirements.
* Support apprentices and trainees through training plan implementation, workplace-based learning, on-the-job support and evidence collection.
* Conduct practical training and workplace-based assessments to support competency development through real-world tasks.
* Maintain accurate student records, assessment documentation, compliance reporting and progress tracking using LMS/CRM systems.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with employers, schools, community partners and internal stakeholders to support a strong student experience.
* Work collaboratively within a small training team to ensure industry relevance, consistency and high-quality delivery.
* Participate in moderation, validation and continuous improvement activities.
* Communicate effectively with learners and stakeholders, including those from culturally diverse and remote communities.
What We're Looking For:
* A relevant trade qualification in Carpentry or Civil Construction (or equivalent).
* Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent), or a willingness to obtain within an agreed timeframe.
* Demonstrated experience working with apprentices, trainees or vocational learners (highly regarded).
* Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, particularly when engaging with culturally diverse learners.
* The ability to build positive, respectful relationships with students, employers and community stakeholders.
* Competency using Microsoft Office and training-related systems (LMS/CRM).
* A current Ochre Card, or ability to obtain prior to commencement.
* The ability to meet medical requirements, where applicable.
* Willingness to travel to training venues, employer worksites and remote locations across the NT.
