Pipe Core is growing and we are looking for a Group Accountant to join our team in Sydney.
Pipe Core is an Australian business supplying equipment, materials and technical solutions to the trenchless, plumbing and infrastructure industries across Australia and New Zealand. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a commercially minded Group Accountant to support the next stage of the business.
Reporting directly to the CEO and Managing Director, this is a broad and hands‐on role that will lead the day‐to‐day finance function across the business while also providing commercial insight and support to the leadership team.
The role will be responsible for:
* Monthly management accounts, financial reporting and reconciliations
* Cash flow management, budgeting and forecasting
* Inventory valuation and stock controls
* BAS, GST, PAYG, payroll and other compliance requirements
* Managing and improving ERP and accounting systems
* Supporting commercial decision making through reporting and analysis
* Supervising the Accounts Payable & Receivable Coordinator and Planning Coordinator roles
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, commercially minded and comfortable working across both strategic and operational finance responsibilities.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
* CA or CPA qualification
* Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and compliance
* Experience managing end-to-end finance functions
* Experience with ERP and accounting systems such as Xero
* Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong analytical capability
* Experience in wholesale, distribution, manufacturing, project‐based or SME environments
* Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders
* Experience in construction, infrastructure or related sectors will be highly regarded
* Previous experience as part of a management team
