What You’ll Be Doing
Responsible for delivering a range of operational laboratory activities including the coordination and provisions of scientific and technical training and the ongoing review, development and quality management of laboratory practices to ensure compliance with operational standards and procedures, quality standards and continual process improvement.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor Degree or higher in Science/Biomedical Science or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution; Australian Society of Cytology (ASC) Certificate in Nongynaecological and Gynaecological Cytology and the ThinPrep (Hologic) Certificate
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in delivering pathology services relevant to the laboratory, including use of Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems, Quality Control Systems and software such as Microsoft Office
- Customer-focused approach with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including report writing, statistical evaluation of scientific data, and the ability to communicate policies and procedures
- Ability to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines; capable of working in a team and autonomously
- Initiative, problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to apply established principles in a pathology laboratory and to investigate and resolve issues
- Understanding of legislation, policies and requirements affecting the laboratory setting including work health and safety and privacy
