ABOUT THE CLIENT
Our client has built a strong reputation for craftsmanship, care, and continuous improvement. With ongoing growth, they are now seeking a Work Health Safety Officer to lead safety initiatives across their construction projects.

THE ROLE
As a Work Health Safety Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring all construction activities meet the highest safety standards. You will work closely with site supervisors, project managers, and senior leadership to implement and uphold WHS compliance across all operations.
Your proactive approach will help strengthen safety culture and drive ongoing improvement in systems, training, and incident prevention.
Key Responsibilities
* Compliance & Auditing : Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with WHS legislation, policies, and procedures
* Incident Management : Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
* Training & Education : Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and staff training sessions
* System Development : Maintain and improve WHS management systems and documentation
* Reporting & Analysis : Prepare reports, track performance metrics, and recommend improvements
* Collaboration : Partner with project and operations teams to promote a culture of accountability and care
ABOUT YOU
You are detail-oriented and proactive, with a passion for creating safe, efficient work environments. You communicate clearly, act with integrity, and take pride in helping others work safely and confidently.
You will bring
* Proven experience in a WHS role, ideally within construction or manufacturing
* Strong knowledge of current WHS legislation, codes of practice, and standards
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Sound computer literacy and familiarity with WHS or auditing software
* A hands‑on, solutions‑focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
* Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent qualification)
