About the Role
The Software Engineer (Commvault) will deliver engineering structures, lifecycle documentation, and compliance activities for backup, storage, and security‑focused ICT environments. This role focuses on designing, selecting, and developing engineering solutions with an emphasis on Commvault‑based backup and recovery technologies, as well as associated infrastructure integrations.
You will also be responsible for ensuring system performance, maintaining compliance, and resolving deficiencies in collaboration with vendors and engineering stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Designing, specifying, and developing engineering solutions for backup, storage, and security using Commvault.
* Delivering engineering structures, lifecycle methodology reports, and compliance documentation.
* Identifying and resolving system and network support deficiencies.
* Working with vendors to assess products and support integration activities.
* Converting business/technical requirements into effective technology solutions.
* Maintaining system monitoring, patching cycles, network changes, and objective quality evidence artefacts.
* Meeting defined performance measures across compliance, incident resolution, documentation quality, and system configuration management.
The Successful Candidate
Preferred candidates have:
* Strong experience in Commvault backup technologies or similar enterprise backup platforms.
* Background in software engineering, infrastructure engineering, or storage systems.
* Proven ability to maintain compliance, security posture, and lifecycle documentation.
* Ability to troubleshoot complex system and network issues.
* Experience with Linux environments, system monitoring tools, or scripting.
* Strong vendor engagement and stakeholder management capabilities.
