The Role:
We're seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Town Planner to lead diverse urban projects, mentor junior staff, and contribute to business development. This is a key role for a confident communicator who thrives in a fast-paced consultancy environment and is passionate about shaping the future of WA’s urban landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the preparation and delivery of statutory planning applications and strategic planning advice
* Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
* Provide expert written and verbal advice to clients, authorities, and key stakeholders
* Present at panels, tribunals and community or regulatory forums as required
* Mentor and support junior planning staff, providing clear guidance and feedback
* Build strong relationships with clients, government bodies, consultants, and community representatives
* Identify new business opportunities and contribute to proposals and client engagement strategies
About You:
* Tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Planning.
* In-depth knowledge of WA statutory and strategic planning frameworks
* Strong report writing, presentation, and communication skills
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality outcomes
* Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving capabilities
* Demonstrated leadership potential and desire to mentor and grow a team
* A collaborative approach and commitment to professional integrity
