About the Role
* Support commercial tender cost evaluations and assist with contract negotiations.
* Monitor operational expenses and capital expenditures, conduct variance analysis, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Assist with monthly financial reporting for senior management and key stakeholders.
* Contribute to budgeting processes and rolling forecasts for business departments.
* Collect and consolidate financial and non-financial data from multiple systems.
* Utilize SQL databases and data-tracking systems to support analysis and reporting.
* Maintain and reconcile General Ledger and sub-ledger accounts.
* Support month-end close activities, including journal uploads and system settlements.
* Assist with financial reporting, audit documentation, and CAPEX system maintenance.
* Perform additional tasks that add value to the team.
About You
* Prior experience in accounting or financial analysis, preferably in the mining or resources sector.
* Tertiary qualification in Accounting and/or Finance.
* CPA/CA qualifications (completed or in progress) highly regarded.
* Strong proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software applications.
* Experience working with SQL and large/complex datasets.
* Critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze data, solve problems, and develop practical solutions.
