Council Assessment Panel - Independent Members
The Adelaide Plains Council are seeking expressions of interest for suitably qualified and experienced Independent Members of the public to join Council’s Assessment Panel (CAP).
The CAP is a relevant authority under the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 with responsibility for determining certain development applications in the Council area against the Planning and Design Code.
Council are seeking 5 Independent Members to fill the following roles for an initial 2 year term commencing 1 July 2026:
* 1 x Presiding Member
* 3 x Independent Members
* 1 x Deputy Member
Independent Members of the CAP will need to hold accreditation as an Accredited Professional – Planning Level 2 or higher. Council seeks to achieve diversity amongst the Panel membership.
The Panel typically meets in Two Wells on the first Wednesday of every month at 5:30pm. In person attendance is expected except in exceptional circumstances.
The CAP’s Terms of Reference, Operating and Meeting Procedure, agendas and minutes are publicly available on the Council website APC Council Assessment Panel.
How to Apply
Expressions of interest should contain a resume and cover letter outlining your skills, experience and accreditation, and indicate the role that you are applying for (i.e. Independent Member, Presiding Member or Deputy Member). Applications should be marked ‘Confidential’ and to the attention of Josh Banks, Manager Development Assessment at ****@apc.sa.gov.au.
