Pay rate – $36 per hour + superannuation

This is a unique opportunity for a Maintenance Coordinator to join our team in an autonomous and very rewarding role helping to maintain our beautiful retirement villages in Croydon and Lane Cove. This role would suit someone with a trade or maintenance background who likes interacting with people and enjoys a varied role that is less physically demanding than your typical role in the building/construction space.
Your role will involve assisting with the overall maintenance and improvement of facilities and grounds at the Brighton and St Peter's Green, building effective relationships and delivering positive outcomes for residents.
Day To Day This Role Looks Like
Anticipating and performing maintenance, repairs and replacements having consideration for high quality efficiency, economy and safety.
Reporting maintenance needs to Retirement Village Manager
Scheduling and carrying out periodic maintenance activities including pool maintenance at The Brighton
Providing quality service to all residents and customers with respect, dignity and privacy.
Using initiative, accepting responsibility and organising work efficiently
Maintaining appropriate documentation and records relating to reactive and preventative maintenance works
Effectively communicating with residents, customers and significant others
Attending fire safety in-service training as directed
Supporting and contributing to quality improvement for maintenance activities
Acting in accordance with all WH&S Laws and regulations
Managing internal and external inspections
Liaising with maintenance contractors
Working within a small team assisting as needed including occasionally transporting residents for outings
To Be Successful In This Role You'll Need
At least one-year experience as a maintenance officer in a comparable role and industry
Trade Skills highly desirable (but not essential)
Essential knowledge of the maintenance functions of retirement village (or similar environment)
Ability to problem solve
Practical organisational skills with attention to detail
Effective communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
Good communication skills.
Ability to work both in a team and independently with minimal supervision
Digital literacy and ability to learn new software platforms
Current NSW Driver's License.
