Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master to oversee the safe and efficient operation of our transhipment vessel.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing company policies and procedures, allocating tasks to their crew, and making decisions with respect to safety, security, and environmental protection.

This is a key leadership role that requires a strong focus on safety, commercial considerations, and environmental protection.
Key Responsibilities
1. Implementing company policies and procedures related to safety, security, operation, and environmental protection;
2. Ensuring commercial considerations do not take precedence over safety and environmental protection;
3. Allocating reasonable tasks or duties to crew members for the safe and efficient operation of the ship;
4. Making decisions with respect to the safety of the ship, crew, passengers, and pollution prevention.
Requirements
* Australian Merchant Mariners Academy Master Certificate of Competency (MCO) Unlimited;
* Education Requirement: As per AMSA Marine Order 71;
* Technical Requirement: Minimum 5 years sea time as a Chief Officer;
* STCW regulation II/2;
* MSIC Card;
* ECDIS and GMDSS;
* Certificate of Safety Training;
* Australian Citizen or hold a valid working visa without restrictions;
* Pilotage Exemption Certificate for Cape Preston (desired);
* Ability to wear a respirator on deck.
