About the opportunity:
At Karinya Place, you'll enjoy a prime location in North Rockhampton on the edge of a picturesque lagoon, a tranquil setting that inspires connection and care. In this position you will be assisting in the provision of high-quality fresh meals to the residents of the facility, in support of maintaining their quality of life.
This role requires availability between 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Your day-to-day will involve:
* Assist the Chef and other staff in the preparation of high-quality, fresh meals that meet residents' dietary requirements and personal preferences
* Provide assistance to Support Services staff in meal service to residents
* Ensure kitchen cleanliness and always adhere to food safety and hygiene standards
About you:
* Experience in commercial food preparation
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
* Knowledge of Food Safety and Workplace Health and Safety standards relevant to Aged Care
* A compassionate, resident-focused approach
* Previous experience in Aged Care industry is desirable
