About the Role
This position involves assessing the needs of older adults and LiveWell clients to develop and prescribe individual gym-based strength programs. These programs will incorporate a diverse range of exercises tailored to meet clients' individual needs and goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct Livewell Assessments by screening participants, prescribing an individual gym-based program, and providing feedback on techniques or modifications as required.
* Supervise participants on the gym floor, actively ensuring their safety and effectiveness in performing exercises.
* Prioritize the needs of high-risk clients, recommending additional group exercise programs or pool facilities to enhance client progression.
Requirements
* Diploma of Fitness and/or Certificate III in Fitness, with a minimum of 2 years' experience working with older adult clients delivering group fitness/strength training programs.
* Current industry registration as a gym instructor and/or older adults trainer, including Level 2 First Aid, CPR, and Working with Children's Check.
* Excellent customer service skills and ability to build relationships with diverse groups of people.
