About the role
Shift & Co is seeking creative, compassionate mentors to support neurodivergent youth and adults across a range of engaging, community-focused programs.
We're hiring for multiple positions. You don’t need experience across every program.
These various roles will provide opportunities across 1:1 mentoring and group facilitation, where you’ll support participants to build confidence, develop life skills, and meaningfully engage with their community.
In 1:1 settings, you will:
* Provide tailored, activity-based mentoring aligned to individual goals and needs
* Support participants to navigate real-life situations (appointments, services, social opportunities)
* Act as a consistent, trusted support person
* Turn everyday experiences into meaningful personal development opportunities
In group programs, you may co-facilitate:
* Social catch-ups and community outings
* Dungeons & Dragons and other roleplay experiences
* Art mentoring in an accessible art studio
* Warhammer miniature painting and strategy-based games
· Creating safe spaces for connection, creativity, and growth (and have fun doing it!)
Specifics about the Creative Arts Program (Studio&)
Studio& is Shift & Co’s dedicated accessible arts program - a safe, inclusive studio space where neurodivergent adults explore a range of visual art media, build creative skills, and form genuine social connections. This co-designed program fosters connection, creativity and confidence through shared artistic exploration with the support of experienced art mentors.

About you
You are:
* Empathetic, patient, and non-judgmental
* Adaptable and able to respond to different needs and situations
* Skilled at building rapport and trust
* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
* Passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals and building community
Desirable experience
* Experience in mentoring, support work, or human services (or related study)
* Interest or skills in:
o Visual arts
o Roleplaying games (e.g. D&D)
o Tabletop/board games
o Community engagement
(Direct experience in all areas is not required-attitude and approach matter most.)
Requirements
* Current Class C Driver’s Licence & access to transport
* First Aid Certificate
* National Criminal History Check
* Working with Vulnerable People Registration (ACT/NSW)
* Full working rights in Australia

* $41 – $53 per hour + super (based on experience, SCHADS Award)
