Fogarty Wine Group is a family-owned wine group with a portfolio of premium wine brands spanning Australia's most celebrated regions. With over 300 employees Australia wide we are expanding our operations and looking to grow our finance capability.
We are now seeking a growth orientated accountant to join us in a newly created full-time position working from our West Perth office. The successful candidate will work closely with the leadership team to provide financial support and analysis that is closely aligned with the goals of the business. As a deeper understanding of operations is gained, this role will contribute to system improvements and enhance financial administration practices across the Group.
The Role:
* Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports and financial statements, including variance analysis
* Maintain general ledger accounts and perform monthly reconciliations
* Maintain and reconcile intercompany transactions across related entities
* Review and analyse entity and department financial performance
* Assist with the preparation of BAS, PAYG, and other statutory returns for submission
* Support the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors as needed
* Responsible for monthly credit card journal creation and posting into NetSuite
* Support budgeting and forecasting activities including collation of budget data and analysis
* Assist with cashflow management, including weekly forecasting and monitoring liquidity
* Assist with product assembly builds in NetSuite
* Tracking production costs and generating monthly profitability analysis
Requirements:
* 3 + years of accounting experience.
* CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent).
* Advanced Microsoft excel skills with previous experience using Employment hero and NetSuite advantageous
* Advanced problem-solving and business analysis techniques, with an ability to analyse and report financial metrics to represent insights visually.
* Strong technical accounting, taxation and financial principles and reporting knowledge.
* Passion for business partnership and continuous improvement projects
