Job Title: Health and Safety Manager
We are seeking a seasoned health and safety professional to oversee our operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Job Description:
* Health and Safety Leadership: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive health and safety management system, aligning with established regulatory requirements, company policies, and best practices.
* Operational Oversight: Provide direction and oversight to ensure operational activities adhere to regulations, guidelines, procedures, and industry standards, including inspections, risk assessments, and procedure development.
* Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risks and adherence to the law; establish internal plant-wide policies and review/update as necessary to ensure compliance.
* Incident Investigation and Reporting: Support effective incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
* Performance Metrics and Goals: Define, drive, and report on health and safety goals, metrics, and statistics.

What You Bring:
* A degree in Health and Safety or related field, coupled with extensive experience in a similar role.
* Proven expertise in developing health and safety strategies, procedures, and processes.
* Extensive auditing and ICAM experience.
* At least 10 years of experience managing safety and health within a chemical manufacturing environment.
* Hands-on experience developing and implementing program elements, compliance initiatives, risk assessment, industrial hygiene, root cause analysis, and employee engagement.
* A deep understanding of legal health and safety regulations.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to drive a positive safety culture.
