Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver exceptional anaesthesia services, encompassing trauma, paediatric, cardiothoracic, and neurosurgery cases.
* Contribute to clinical support roles that drive performance improvement and enhanced patient outcomes.
* Engage in teaching, research, and quality assurance within the Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine.
* Pursue multi-centre research collaborations with the University of Tasmania and Menzies Research Centre.
Specialist Areas of Interest:
* General Anaesthesia: Provide comprehensive services across various specialities.
* Cardiac Anaesthesia: Candidates with recent fellowship or consultant practice in cardiac anaesthesia will be highly regarded.
* Paediatric Anaesthesia: Applicants with experience in a tertiary paediatric centre are encouraged to apply.
Essential Requirements:
* Specialist medical registration or recognised overseas specialist qualification.
* Experience in anaesthesia, particularly in obstetrics, neurosurgery, or paediatrics, within the last 2 years.
* Recent clinical exposure at a tertiary hospital standard.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Fellowship with ANZCA (or equivalent) preferred for general anaesthesia.
* Expertise in trans-oesophageal echocardiography (for cardiac anaesthesia).
* Recent experience in neonatal anaesthesia (for paediatric anaesthesia).
