As part of their continuous development initiatives and in compliment to their Corporate Social and Sustainability goals, they are now building a state-of-the-art gas-fired co-generation plant.
As the Cogeneration Plant Manager based onsite on the NSW South Coast, you will be responsible for managing and developing a team for the production and delivery of steam and power which supports the operations of their greater business operations.

**A brief look at the JOB**
You will be assigned to manage the division in providing a seamless and initiative-taking service, achieving the site's objectives relating to power and generation.
**Including**
- Safe, reliable operation of the cogeneration facility including supplemental boilers and maintaining site steam services
- Overseeing the planning implementation of maintenance, outage, and project activities.
- Liaison with key stakeholders (gas supply, electrical grid connection, turbine maintenance contract, gas pipeline operation and maintenance contract)
- Supervising and managing Operations staff to meet the goals and objectives set out by the Company.
- Ensuring compliance with all company policies, procedures, and commercial commitments.
- Ensuring the facility operates in a safe manner and that a safe work environment is provided to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries.
- Building of teams and cross-business collaboration with peers, as well as the ability to manage, develop and motivate a team of multiskilled Operators
**Profile...**
You are a Senior Manager with experience in power generating systems. Your experience will be complimented by a Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) or a similarly related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with senior management, and lead and direct subordinates and contractors.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience of generator operation and high voltage electrical distribution systems up to and including 33kV.
- Knowledge and experience of major mechanical and electrical systems common to utility plants (steam boilers, gas turbines, heat recovery steam generators)
- Knowledge and experience of natural gas systems
