This role is responsible for ensuring optimal performance and reliability of the plant’s electrical machinery and systems. It also involves the installation, upkeep, and servicing of both new and existing equipment within the operations.

About The Role
About The Role
You will be involved in:
- Operate in accordance with QMAG’s Core Values at all times.
- Install new and maintain current equipment to ensure reliable operation.
- Assist all members of QMAG in need of assistance with electrical faults associated with the function of the plant.
- Inspecting electrical works to maintain Australian Standards (AS-3000).
- PLC and Citect programming modifications when required.
- Installation and calibration of all plant Instruments, belts weighers, weighing platforms, load calibration and testing.
- Developing and installing various control systems to improve the efficiency and productivity of existing plant operations.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance tasks on the plant.
- Repair and fault find during breakdowns.
- Identify, initiate, and implement plant improvement opportunities.
- Undertake minor project work to improve plant performance and safety.
- Review work procedures and PM’s and provide feedback to ensure the maintenance system remains current.
- Utilise the computer-based maintenance system SAP to record work history and parts usage.
- Shift Electrician: Provide after-hours breakdown support for operations team.

We are looking for people with the following:
- Electrical Fitter/Mechanic Trade Certified
- Current LVR/CPR Certificates
- Manual Licence
- Highly Desirable
- EWP – Elevated Work Platform
- Working at Heights
- Confined Space – Entry and Responsible
- Instrumentation and Control Experience
- High Voltage Switching
- Fixed Plant experience as a Maintenance Electrician

Attractive in town rate
26 weeks Primary Parental Leave, 4 weeks Secondary Parental Leave
5 Weeks Annual Leave
$49-$51/hr Base Rate
+ 17.5% Leave loading on Annual Leave
+ 12% Superannuation on hourly rate
+ Electrical Trade Allowance
+ Shift loadings
Overtime available periodically as operationally required
