Programmed Energy & Resources seeking an experienced Shutdown Supervisor to join our team on upcoming shuts from November onwards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced shutdown environments and has a strong background in fixed plant maintenance and repair.
Role Details:
* Duration: Casual ad-hoc basis - work when it suits
* Location: We complete shutdowns across the Goldfields, Southern region and Perth local
* Rates: $75 - $85 p/h dependent on shift and location
* Next Available Shutdown: Commencing 9th November
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise fixed plant mechanical crews during shutdowns, installations, upgrades and ongoing maintenance tasks.
* Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety standards, schedules and quality requirements are met.
* Conduct pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
* Oversee permit to work systems, JHAs, and SWMS compliance
* Liaise with site clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution
* Collaborate efficiently across multidisciplinary teams
* Assist in planning and detailing materials and specialised tooling/equipment aligned with the shutdown activities
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience in shutdown or maintenance coordination within mining, resources or heavy industry
* Strong background within fixed plant environments, with strong troubleshooting and technical knowledge
* Strong understanding of safety, planning, and compliance requirements
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work autonomously and handle competing priorities
* Exposure in estimating time and resources aligned with shutdown activities
* A mechanical or boilermaking trade background is highly desirable
Qualification Requirements:
* Australian Recognized Trade Background
* Schedule 26 Training (or working towards)
* Working at Heights & Confined Space
* White Card
* Valid WA Drivers License
* Ability to pass a heavy medical & drug / alcohol screening
* 3+ years previous experience within a similar role
* Ability to complete online inductions
