The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Pharmacy Assistant - Advanced to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Be required to coordinate the operational management of the pharmacy and report to the Assistant Director of Pharmacy
- Demonstrate excellent skills in pharmaceutical dispensing, distribution and small-scale pharmaceutical manufacture
- Manage dispensary activities including staff allocation, rostering, prioritisation and coordination of work
- Collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, when necessary
About you
**To be successful in this position you will require**:
- Certificate IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support (HLT47115) or equivalent, including the 'Maintain Pharmaceutical Imprest Stock' Module (HTLPA001)
- Ability to work all shifts including weekends, public holidays and extended hours where required
- Work across all facilities within Gold Coast Health and Health Services
- Evidence of vaccination and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $80 308 - $85 223 per annum
