Process Engineer Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Process Engineer to join our team at our modern manufacturing facility in Newcastle. This role is critical in driving continuous improvement initiatives and optimizing production processes on the site.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about process optimization and Lean principles. As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing process data, identifying trends, and implementing improvements to optimize process performance. You will also be involved in developing drawings, specifications, and schematics related to maintenance, repair, and project work.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and experience in a manufacturing environment. They will also have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with the team.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyze process data and identify trends to optimize process performance.
* Developing drawings, specifications, and schematics in relation to maintenance, repair, and project work.
* Run projects to reduce waste in current processes.
* Engage local suppliers to manufacture consumable spares.
* Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting of process-related issues.
* Monitor and evaluate key process indicators and generate reports on plant performance.
* Developing and maintaining asset lifecycle register.
Requirements
* A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
* 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
