We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Production Supervisor to lead and coordinate our asphalt manufacturing operations at Bayswater, Victoria. In this hands‑on leadership role, you will be responsible for planning, organising and supervising personnel, plant, subcontractors and resources to ensure safe, efficient and high‑quality production.
You will play a key role in delivering operational performance, ensuring adherence to safety standards, driving continuous improvement and supporting our Zero Harm culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead production activities to ensure timely, safe and high‑quality asphalt manufacturing, meeting all contractual and statutory requirements.
* Plan and schedule plant operations, labour and resource allocation, including preventative and emergency maintenance coordination.
* Drive operational efficiency by monitoring performance, analysing costs, supporting continuous improvement and ensuring effective use of plant and equipment.
* Lead and motivate plant operators and subcontractors, promote teamwork, manage performance and foster strong stakeholder relationships.
* Maintain high quality and compliance standards by reviewing technical specifications, supporting QA processes and ensuring adherence to industry regulations.
* Champion Zero Harm principles, ensuring compliance with safety systems, conducting toolbox meetings, reporting incidents and maintaining safe work practices.
What You’ll Bring
* Previous experience in operating an asphalt or recycling plant highly regarded.
* Experience in managing a small team and drive process improvement initiatives.
* Demonstrated ability in stock control and raw material deliveries.
* Demonstrated ability to run toolbox talk, pre-starts and team meetings.
* An understanding of the chain of responsibility.
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external clients.
* A strong commitment to a Zero Harm culture.
