The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse to ensure efficient receipt, storage, organisation, and dispatch of goods. This includes stock management, coordination of logistics, supervision of staff and volunteers, ensuring workplace health and safety standards are met, and providing a high level of operational support to the Society’s retail and community services.

Warehouse Manager duties
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Lead and support warehouse staff and volunteers, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with Work Health & Safety standards, maintaining a safe and hazard-free workplace.
- Manage logistics and coordination, ensuring timely inbound and outbound deliveries and effective communication with stakeholders.
- Implement process improvements, optimising efficiency, quality, and the use of warehouse equipment and resources.
Qualifications and experience
- Strong organisational and operational skills to manage daily warehouse activities efficiently.
- Leadership and team management abilities, including coaching and performance oversight.
- Proficiency with warehouse systems, inventory control, and safe use of equipment.
- Personal attributes: reliability, adaptability, commitment to safety, and physical capability for manual tasks.
