Exciting tendering manager opportunity with a well-known global business

Our client is a global leader in sustainable power-solutions, specialising in power generation, marine transport and turbo Machinery.
They provide industrial engines, rotation equipment, and process equipment for their clients around the world. Recent product developments have opened the door to new markets in Australia, which has lead to a strong project pipeline for traditional gas-engine fired power generation, as well as a strong interest in emerging alternative-fuelled engines and energy storage technologies.
**Your new role**
In your new role as the Tendering Manager, you will report to the Sales Manager. Your main responsibilities will be:
- Maintaining the project pipeline in Customer Relationship Management (CRM);
- Preparation of budget proposals and other early stage customer engagement;
- Developing technical solutions for projects that use core products, such as gas engines, which are sometimes combined with innovative energy storage solutions (heat pumps, molten salt storage, Power-to-X), and integrated intelligent energy management systems;
- Engaging with customers to understand their requirements, including analysis and clarification of the customer's requests for information and tender documents;
- Assisting the sales team present solutions to the customer;
- Conducting technical contract negotiations with the customer;
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Australian Citizen or Permanent resident
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Related experience as a Tendering Manager or similar role
- Good knowledge of plant engineering, especially in the power generation industry
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar qualification relevant to the power generation industry
- Experience working in interdisciplinary teams with a responsible and cooperative working style, including excellent organisation skills
- Strong negotiation skills and experience
- Intermediate level competence with MS Outlook, Word and Excel
- The ability and willingness to travel and be away from home approximately 20 - 30 days of the year.
