We are seeking to employ a rates / finance officer in a full time temporary capacity to assist with the day to day operations of the finance and rates department. The position has been created to boost our workload capacity during our imminent rating and finance software changes and data upgrade projects.
The rates / finance officer will be involved in most aspects of rating, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
To be successful in this role you will need Qualifications Essential
* Current driver licence
* Employee working with children check
Experience Essential
* Demonstrated experience and skill in customer service essential
Desirable
* Practical experience in a financial field
* Successful completion of secondary education
* Practical knowledge of local government rating.
* Understanding of the services and activities undertaken by the shire
Key selection criteria 1
Substantial practical experience in rating or similar field
Key selection criteria 2
Knowledge of relevant technology and equipment for the use related to this position.
Key selection criteria 3
Demonstrated experience in the handling and reconciliation of financial transactions.
