Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospitals Group (FSFHG) are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our Department of Clinical Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology. Position Profile: We are looking for a compassionate, patient-centered clinical psychologist with experience and expertise in delivering high-quality specialised psychological care to obstetric and neonate inpatients and outpatients and their familied presenting with complex psychological and mental health difficulties in the context of pregnancy, birth, postnatal adjustment and neonate admission.

The successful applicant will provide clinical supervision to Clinical Psychology Registrars and Trainees and undertake professional practice as a Clinical Psychologist in accordance with laws and ethical standards governing psychological practice as per the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) and SMHS policies and guidelines. Commits to undertake the duties of the role in accordance with the WA Health Code of Conduct, the South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) Vision of Excellent health care, every time, and Values of Care (Kaaradj), Integrity (Ngwidam), Respect (Kaaratj), Excellence (Beli-beli) and Teamwork (Yaka-dandjoo).

About our Department: We are a dynamic, experienced, and dedicated team of Clinical Psychologists and Clinical Neuropsychologists working across diverse clinical specialties within the Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospitals Group (FSFHG).

Working alongside medical, nursing and allied health professionals, we deliver comprehensive, evidence-informed psychological services to paediatric, young adult, adult, and older adult inpatients and outpatients, and their families/carers, experiencing complex medical, chronic health, cognitive, rehabilitation and mental health needs to optimize medical treatment, rehabilitation and improve psychological and mental health well-being.

As part of our commitment to excellent professional standards and continuous growth and development, we offer clinical supervision (Area of Practice Endorsement), operational supervision, mentoring, support to become a Board Approved Supervisor for eligible clinicians, with access to an internal education program. In addition, clinical psychologists and neuropsychologists have opportunities to contribute to quality improvement, service development, projects and translational clinical research within the department as well as the broader Allied Health Directorate across FSFHG.

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.

SMHS delivers quality, safe and effective hospital and health services within a catchment area stretching more than 3300 square kilometres across the southern half of Perth.
