Rumbalara Aboriginal Co-Operative – Justice & Community Services now has the following vacancy at our Shepparton site.

Team Leader Family Safety

Full Time, 38 hours per week – Ongoing

This is an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander designated position, classified under Section 12 Special Measures of the Equal Opportunity Act This employment opportunity is only available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

About the Role

To provide strong cultural leadership to a team of practitioners to ensure culturally safe and responsive case management to support multiple family violence programs. This role is responsible for day-to-day program requirements including

* supervision

* performance management

* monitoring compliance, progress and performance

* preparation of regular reports on program activities, outcomes, challenges, and achievements.

This role reports directly to the Program Manager Family Safety and is responsible for supporting the Program Manager to fulfil the requirements and responsibilities relevant to the role including Aboriginal ways of working, quality and compliance, and the Strategic direction of Rumbalara Aboriginal Co-Operative.

About You

Tobe successful, you must have the following knowledge and skills.

Qualifications and Registrations:

* Tertiary qualification in social work, welfare, community services or related field is preferred.

Knowledge and skills:

* Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams whilst promoting cultural safety and trauma-informed practice.
* Capacity to make balanced and sound decisions in high-risk and high-pressure situations while managing competing priorities.
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of The Family Violence Protection Act 2008, Family Violence Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Risk Management (MARAM) Framework, The Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 VIC, and other relevant legislations.
* A sound ability to maintain a high standard of confidentiality and compliance at all times.
* Knowledge of the local Aboriginal community and culture and the role Rumbalara Aboriginal Co-Operative provides in the Goulburn region.
* Demonstrated understanding of factors that influence the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal children and young people and their families.
* Demonstrated intake and assessment skills, to manage referrals and allocate to practitioners.
