The Role :
We are a dynamic and rapidly growing company in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic individual with exceptional financial skills to take on all responsibility of the financial functions whilst reporting to the CFO and Board of Directors. As the company grows, this role offers the potential for you to expand with it and transition into a permanent position.
Tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Timely completion of end of month processes and reporting including but not limited to, COGS, fixed assets, stock, accruals & prepayments
Monthly analysis and reporting of departmental operating performance
Monitor cash flow, prepare cash flow forecasts and implement effective cash management strategies to optimise liquidity and working capital
Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to senior management, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities for business growth and improvement
Develop and monitor budgets, as well as conduct financial forecasting to support strategic planning and decision making processes
Partnering with the Product Development team to ensure accurate new product costs prior to launch and post launch analysis
Assist in the development and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance
Identify cost-saving opportunities, analyse variances and implement strategies to control costs while maintaining operational efficiency
Identify financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures. Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
Prepare and submit timely, compliant and accurate financial reports, statements and tax returns including but not limited to Payroll Tax and BAS / IAS lodgments
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements. Coordinate with external tax agents and regulatory bodies as necessary
Oversee the accounts payable / receivable whilst managing the day to day accounting operations
Processing weekly payroll of approx. 40 staff
The role is extremely varied, from transactional accounting tasks through to presenting financial reports in monthly meetings.
To succeed in this position you will have the following :
Experience in small to medium-sized businesses with end-to-end company account management would be an advantage.
As a CA / CPA accredited professional, you will bring a minimum of 3 years previous experience in a similar role, preferably from within the manufacturing industry
Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting and budgeting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Xero
