This team manages multiple data warehouses supporting Child Protection, HOMES NSW and Youth Justice. The technologies underpinning these data warehouses include the use of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Tableau and Collibra; Informatica Cloud, Oracle OBIEE and OAC; SAP BoDS and webi reports.This role will lead the support and creation of new ETL pipelines, data models, reports and dashboards; that facilitate the achievement of business outcomes with process and technology.This role is at a senior level, and is required to liaise with other developers, business analysts and stakeholders within the IM teams. They need to be able to workshop complex design discussions internally and externally.What you'll doManage the delivery of a complex range of Business Intelligence / Data warehouse initiatives of varying size and complexity across a wide geographic area to ensure they are all delivered on time, on budget, and meet the needs of the Department and its clients.Utilise technical expertise to build and maintain various ETLs, reports, dashboards across all data warehouses utilising webi, Tableau, OAC and any other future technologies.Utilise technical expertise and advise in the requirements analysis phase to ensure the solution is both fit for purpose and fit for use.Design and execute acceptance testing to improve the quality and reduce operational risk of the developed application.Provide ongoing 3rd level support of developed data warehouse applications to reduce the impact of application defects and related incidents.Provide ongoing analysis and review of data warehouse development to identify opportunities to improve and enhance availability of analytics for the organisation.Maintain currency in knowledge and understanding of application tools and standards of data warehouse and reporting tools. Create, maintain and update all relevant technical documentation.Assume technical responsibility for all stages of the development process to ensure compliance with application development standards and achievement of documented requirements.Perform maintenance tasks to support the existing build and maintain its currency within various environments.What we're looking forTertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.Knowledge and experience in ETL, report building, monitoring data pipelines on premise and on cloud and proficiency using tools similar to those listed below.PL/SQL, Informatica data integration services (IDIS), Oracle 12C, OBIEE, OAC, BigQ, Data Form, Tableau, Looker Studio or other visualisers, SAP BO (Universe Designer - IDT, UDT and webi), SAP BODSKnowledge of SQL and cloud data basesKnowledge of various master data management tools used on cloud platforms and related technologiesAppointments are subject to reference checks.
