We’re seeking a skilled Clinical Coder to join the Mount Gambier & Districts Health Service, supporting both our site and the Remote Regional Coding team. In this important role, you’ll help produce accurate morbidity profiles and ensure precise clinical documentation that supports patient care, funding, and reporting. Key Responsibilities: Undertake the coding of inpatient and day patient episodes of care to ensure a complete and accurate morbidity profile. Accurately abstract and classify inpatient episodes in accordance with the Australian Coding Standards (ICD-10-AM). Maintain high levels of accuracy, detail, and consistency in all coding work. Participate in Remote Regional Coding activities, with occasional travel to hospitals within the South East region. What We Are Looking For: Successful completion of the Health Information Management Association of Australia – ICD-10-AM Coding qualification. Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Clinical Coder. Proven experience in the provision of a confidential, efficient administrative service. Proven experience in using a computer and keyboard.
