Field service technician - distribution assets

Electrical Fitters are required to undertake various works associated with the construction and maintenance of distribution assets.

* Key Responsibilities:
* Distribution asset construction and maintenance including cable termination, mini pillar maintenance and switchgear maintenance
* Undertake fault response and fault rectification works to ensure a reliable supply of electricity
* The installation of services from the distribution network to customers' premises
* Connection and disconnection of supply as necessary
* Participate in on-call & shift-work rosters as necessary based on company policy.
* Investigate quality of supply issues and test electrical infrastructure to ensure it is safe and functioning correctly

* A Certificate III Systems Electrician or higher qualification is essential for this role
* Previous successful work in field on construction and/or maintenance of network infrastructure is highly desirable
* A High Risk License – EWP and OH&S General Induction Card are also required
* Asbestos Awareness training is highly desirable
* Hold a current ACT motor vehicle licence or its acceptable equivalent.
