About the Role Futura Care Pty Ltd is seeking a compassionate, dedicated and confident Disability Support Worker to join our team in a casual capacity. In this role, you'll play a vital part in delivering high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, empowering them to live independently and achieve their personal goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Support clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management
* Facilitate social and recreational activities that foster community engagement and enhance overall well-being
* Provide emotional support and advocacy, respecting each client's preferences and needs
* Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure continuity of care
* Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement personalised support plans
* Uphold health, safety, and quality standards to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for clients
What We're Looking For
* Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability) or a related field
* Proven experience in delivering personalised care to individuals with disabilities
* Minimum 3 months experience in disability support is required
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and show empathy
* Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
* Valid driver's license is a requirement
* Current Working with Children's check required
* Current National Police Clearance required
