Future\'s engineers drive technology forward.About The RoleAs a IoT Specialist (FAE) at Future Electronics, you will provide comprehensive technical support for customer circuit design and system development.
You will be involved with customer presentations, strategic supplier product introductions, and technical sales training for customers, the regional sales team through lunch and learn seminars, workshops, webcasts and various other forums.
You will work with Account Managers, Field Application Engineers, and Product Marketing to develop and execute successful demand creation programs leading to successful sales growth and customer expansion for Future Electronics and our strategic suppliers within your assigned region.The role involves both technical engagement and administrative tasks with an expectation that 50% of the work week is spent customer facing.
Of note is that the position will cover customers across Australia and Recent Zealand.What You'll Do (responsibilities)Provide engineering support as well as early system solution consultation to assigned customers.Provide design guidance and troubleshooting/debug/issue resolution throughout the customer\'s design & development phases.Provide training and direction on new technology to sales teams with varying technical knowledge in a fashion to maximize the team\'s overall efficiency and ROI for demand creation activity.Execute programs to strengthen and leverage our customer and manufacturer relationships.
Provide supplier support through initiatives such as market wide or customer site seminars and trainings, technical sales programs and technical marketing programs.Utilize engineering expertise to build and execute a business strategy that will properly promote Future\'s supplier products to the right engineering design customers in the market and achieve accelerated revenue growth.Document customer activity through CRM entries.What You'll Need (qualifications)Minimum 2-5 years Electronics R&D; engineer or in a FAE / Field Application Engineering role with customer facing experienceProven experience in embedded systems, wireless communication, and sensorsWi-Fi / UWB for high-throughput applicationsBluetooth 5.4 / LE Audio for low-power, short-range connectivityZigbee / Thread / IEEE 802.15.4 for mesh networkingLoRaWAN / Sigfox – long-range, low-power wide-area networksCellular IoT – NB-IoT, LTE-M, and 5G for mobile and remote deploymentsNTN (Non-Terrestrial Networks) – satellite-based IoT for global coverage and mission-critical applicationsMatter protocol – for seamless smart home interoperabilityMotion & presence Sensors: radar, PIR, ultrasonic, Time-of-FlightOptical Sensors: LiDAR, camera modulesFamiliarity with MCU/MPU platformsUnderstanding of RF design, antenna tuning, and certification standardsUnderstanding with IoT cloud platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT, etc.)Knowledge of security protocols, FOTA, and edge computing is a plusMust hold current Australian Driver's licence, be currently located in Melbourne and a permanent resident of Australia.What we offerA competitive package includes an attractive base salary, performance related incentives (guaranteed for the first 6 months) and a car allowance.To find out more about Future Electronics and WT microelectronics please access the websitewww.futureelectronics.com and
