The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Trade Coordinator (Electrical) join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Manage in-house labour as well as manage and supervise day labour and/or contractors where necessary
- Participate in the organisations day to day operations, work assignments and resource allocation of trades and contractors
- Monitor the work performance and outcomes of trade work ensuring that they meet performance criteria and standards
- Monitor and report on the operation of plant and equipment
- Monitor and report on the work of contractors including whether they are meeting deadlines, specifications and standards
About you
**To be successful in this position you will require**:
- An Australian electrical trade qualification or equivalent/superior qualification
- While not mandatory, a Data Cabling Licence would also be highly regarded
- While not mandatory, a maintenance management background with a sound knowledge of strategic maintenance planning will be highly regarded
- Experience in the operation of Building Maintenance Systems would be highly desirable
- Availability to participate in an on-call roster and may be required to work outside of working hours
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B, Hepatitis A and COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Drivers Licence
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $93 557.20 - $97 303.20 per annum (inclusive of Trade Coordinator allowance)
- Paid Tool Allowance
- Electrical Retention Allowance

Maintenance Services sits within the service line of Asset Management Services within the Strategic Planning and Assets Division and comprises of a Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Coordinators, Administrative staff, Trade Coordinators and approximately twenty trade staff including apprentices. Included in the trades are Electricians, Plumbers, Fitters, Painters, Carpenters, Refrigeration Technicians and Gardeners. Based in Southport and Robina.
