About the Role
Airswift is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a growing civil construction team delivering infrastructure projects across the Eastern states of Australia.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Gympie, QLD, with regular travel to FIFO sites as required.
You’ll be part of a collaborative and safety-focused team committed to delivering high-quality outcomes across a range of civil works including roads, earthworks, drainage, and retaining structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Lead tender preparation, cost planning, and project estimation.
- Manage site operations, including coordination of teams and subcontractors.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain WHS and QA systems, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Administer construction documentation, supplier contracts, and subcontractor performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including clients, councils, and suppliers.
Requirements
Essential:
- Proven experience in civil construction project management.
- Robust leadership and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of safety, environmental, and quality systems (ISO 9001, 45001, 14001).
- Ability to interpret civil design plans and specifications.
- Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
Highly Desired:
- Experience managing local government infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with roads, earthworks, retaining walls, and drainage.
- Understanding of local and state construction standards.
