Accounts Officer Contract
We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Accounts Officer to join our team.
This is a 6-month maternity leave cover contract, with a strong possibility of extension or transition to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the smooth day-to-day operations of finance and admin functions
* Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
* Assist with payroll functions as required
* Maintain financial records and documentation in line with regulations
* Provide admin support to the finance team and wider business
* Handle incoming calls and general office duties such as filing and correspondence
* Contribute to a positive and professional team culture
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounts or finance role
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
* Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite
* Sound understanding of payroll processes (preferred but not essential)
* A friendly, team-oriented approach and strong communication skills
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
