This cleint is a premier infrastructure services contractor currently expanding our footprint across NSW. We are looking for a sharp, commercially minded Estimator with a strong background in Electrical and Mechanical (E&M) services to join our the team.

The Opportunity
Based in our offices at Lake Macquarie you will play a pivotal role in securing our next generation of projects. You won't just be \"crunching numbers\"-you'll be identifying risks, engineering value, and collaborating with our delivery teams to ensure what we win is what we can build.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-End Tendering: Prepare detailed cost estimates for labour, materials, plant, and subcontractors.
* Technical Analysis: Conduct quantity take-offs and interpret complex electrical/mechanical designs and specifications.
* Market Engagement: Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive, compliant pricing.
* Strategy: Identify risks and opportunities to develop pricing strategies that hit margin targets.
* Handover: Ensure a seamless transition from the \"winning\" phase to the \"delivery\" phase with project teams.
What You'll Bring
We are looking for someone who understands the \"how\" of construction, not just the \"how much.\"
* Proven Experience: Demonstrated success in E&M estimating within infrastructure, water, industrial, or energy sectors - BESS will be highly regarded!.
* Software Savvy: Proficiency in Bluebeam, CostX, Planswift, or advanced Excel.
* Technical Grounding: A trade background, Diploma, or Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering is highly regarded.
* Commercial Edge: Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot scope gaps and constructability issues before they become problems.
* Communication: The ability to represent the business professionally at tender briefings and client meetings.
