We are seeking expressions of interest from local and international candidates for several roles at various locations across Australia, working with high‐profile precision engineering companies in Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane. Aerospace, defence, automotive, mining, oil & gas and general manufacturing are the key industries served.
International candidates must be genuinely ready to relocate to Australia. The interview process is quick; once approved the initial visa can be approved within 1‐3 business days. Applicants must be able to relocate and be in Australia within 2‐4 weeks of visa approval (subject to their notice period).

Position Scope & Responsibilities
* Machine, manufacture or modify components to drawings and instructions as detailed on work orders using metal machining equipment, including NC and CNC controlled equipment, operating up to four machines concurrently.
* Cycle times vary from 15 minutes to several days; primary materials include titanium, alloys, stainless steel, Inconel and Invar.
* Record work details on work orders and sign for completed work.
* Ensure all work submitted for inspection conforms to the layout sheet or drawing supplied.
* Use electronic workstations to log on and off tasks as they are performed.
* Assist with drafting and investigation of customer defect and company discrepancy reports.
* Maintain workshop and machinery in a clean and tidy condition at all times.
* Keep to schedules and timelines as specified by leading hands and/or manager.
* Use hand tools and equipment associated with the performance of work duties.
* Carry out maintenance on machinery as required.
* Perform maintenance and calibration tasks on test equipment in accordance with documented procedures as required.
* Bring to the attention of the leading hand, inspector or manager any unserviceable parts as soon as possible, tagging them to keep them separate from serviceable parts.
* Maintain tooling in an acceptable condition, reporting any damages to the leading hand or manager as soon as possible.
Key Selection Criteria
* You must possess formal trade qualifications as a mechanical engineering tradesperson or machinist/toolmaker, equivalent to NVQ3 or SQF5.
* Non‐UK international candidates must have TRA (Trades Recognition Australia) and IELTS score of 5.0 as a minimum.
* Expertise with milling, manual lathe, turning, cylindrical grinding is expected; core strength in one area is acceptable.
* You must have at least two years post‐trade qualification experience, specifically with CNC machine operation (3, 4 & 5 axis).
* Online and offline programming skills will be highly regarded; those keen to learn and develop new skills are encouraged.
* Possess well‐developed communication and interpersonal skills, with a keen eye for detail; fluent English, both reading and written, is mandatory.
