NTT DATA is looking for a Level 3 Network Operations Engineer to support a key project in Federal Government.
Location: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia.
Salary: A$110,******-A$160,******.
Responsibilities
* Work independently, with general direction from the client, stakeholders, team lead or senior manager, to perform operational tasks to resolve all incidents / requests in a timely manner within agreed SLA.
* Timely and consistent updates of tickets with resolution tasks performed.
* Proactively identify, investigate, analyse issues and errors prior to or when they occur and log all such incidents in a timely manner.
* Capture all required and relevant information for immediate resolution.
* Plan, coordinate and implement complex system changes within client specified change windows.
* Liaise with the client, vendors, and other partners to ensure minimal disruption to the client's day‑to‑day business operations.
* Monitor performance levels and capacity of supported devices and networks and assist in proper capacity planning and management.
* Test new software versions and patches for release suitability and problem resolution.
* Maintain detailed, accurate technical documentation and operational procedures for supported solutions.
* Operate within Security and Compliance frameworks.
* Support facility and access management for the NOC Operations Centre and associated data centres.
* Obtain and maintain all role‑specific internal certifications required to perform the duties of the position effectively.
Qualifications
* You must be an Australian Citizen and hold an AGSVA NV1 Clearance.
* A Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
Core Technologies
* Routing and Switching: Cisco N540-ACC-SYS (WAN Edge), Cisco Nexus Switches, Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC), Juniper Network Fabric – Hands‑on experience with network automation platforms like Juniper Apstra or Mist AI for fabric orchestration and assurance.
* Firewalls: F5 InterVRF Firewall Administration.
* Out‑of‑Band Management: MOXA Controllers, Cisco Catalyst C****.
* Power Management Systems: CyberPower Power Management (Advanced Power Distribution, UPS Systems).
Specialisations
* Network Automation & Optimisation: Cisco SR-PCE (Segment Routing Path Computation Element), Cisco Crosswork Network Controller.
* Data Centre Networking: Cisco Nexus Switching, NDFC Automation & Assurance.
* WAN Edge Architecture: Cisco N540 Series.
* Network Segmentation & Security: F5 InterVRF, BGP Communities.
* Carrier‑Grade Routing: Segment Routing, EVPN/MP‑BGP, PCE/Route Reflectors.
* Topology Design: AS-Loop Free Topology, Backbone Carrier Topology.

* Cisco DNAC, Identity Services Engine (ISE), Stealthwatch Enterprise, Cisco Umbrella Web Proxy.
