About the opportunity:
You will be a valued member of the Brighton Homes Estimating team. The key focus of this role is to accurately determine and calculate quantities required for single dwelling residential designs. More specifically, you will:
* Estimating on a range of homes including single storey, split-level and double-storey designs
* Complete accurate retail pricing on Quotations, Variations & Consolidated Tenders for customer projects
* Creation of pre-contract variation pricing and preparation of scope of works in a timely manner
* Generation of site costs and completion of sales tenders on registered and unregistered land
* Reading and interpreting construction plans
* Appraisal of external reports to assist you in costing each project
About you
You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. In addition, you will:
* Experience with residential estimating or related field
* A formal qualification in building or a trade certificate desirable
* A sound understanding of local council and developer requirements
* Confidence when working to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining robust attention to detail
* A sound knowledge of Australian Construction Standards
* Strong interpersonal skills, collaborating with the wider team
