About the opportunity
An exciting senior leadership opportunity exists within one of Australia's highest profile emergency service agencies, as the Senior Manager Training Delivery, Grade 11/12,Operational Capability and Training, for a period of two years (with chance of extension).
In this role you will lead a team of 37 staff in the development, implementation, management and evaluation of the NSW SES state-wide Training and Exercise Plan, supporting 262 Units and 11,000 members. This will include managing the organisational training needs analysis and the identification, development, engagement and allocation of training and exercising resources, as well as developing and supporting the agencies essential volunteer Trainer & Assessor cohort

About you
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
* proven experience in successfully managing the development, implementation, and evaluation of training and exercise plans
* proven experience leading a large training team and portfolio, within the volunteer and/or paid emergency services or not-for-profit sectors
* emergency service/volunteer agency experience
* demonstrated experience in setting work priorities, problem solving and meeting deadlines in a high workload environment in a dynamic and changing environment
* an understanding of how to work proactively in support of volunteers to best assist communities
* sound financial and administrative skills and the ability to plan, manage and monitor financial, human and physical resources
