We will provide broad and diverse development across all levels of our business and expect this to be a long-term position.Ideal candidate will possess:Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent;Ability to work to a high level of accuracy on projects;Sound technical engineering knowledge and understanding;Highly committed to maintaining and implementing quality in each project and ensuring that it is a part of the organization's culture;High level of communication, written and interpersonal skills;Sound knowledge of modern building principles;Studying or successfully completed tertiary education (min.
Certificate IV) relating directly to the building industry and estimating;Ability to work unsupervised;Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;Excellent organization, problem solving and time management skills;Sound knowledge of Civil Construction;Knowledge in the following programs: CostX, Microsoft Project & Microsoft Excel;Good problem-solving abilities;Excellent attention to detail;High level planning, assigning resources and scheduling projects;Experience in Procore (Desired).Key Responsibilities:Oversee all project plans of civil construction works;Plan and coordinate project engineering assignments entailing technical specifications and the preparation of detailed plans;Assist in completing Inspection and testing plans;Assist in preparing and presentation of progress claims to the client, as well as tracking project costs and budget;Maintain the monitoring and good implementation of project progress, costs, safety and QA / QC procedures;Interface between office and site-based staff;Train and manage junior engineers;Compose weekly/monthly progress reports;Oversee document control registers and ensure that current copies of the quality system are kept up to date;Organize with other team members the allocation of plant and equipment;Evaluate and identify challenges and utilize resources to solve problems;Follow and report to the Divisional manager on progress for each project;Assist Divisional Manager in any assigned task as required.What JRT can offer you:Wages paid on a weekly basis;Training opportunities and career development;PPE supplied;This is a full-time (Mon-Fri) locally based position and offers an excellent opportunity for a person with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.We are not offering FIFO or DIDO positions.
