The Role
Austrade’s Information Centre is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic information professional to join a small team providing specialist trade and investment research services to Austrade’s international network. This is a non-ongoing opportunity for a 12-month term.
The position involves working in a digital library environment to deliver business intelligence and current awareness services, focusing on priority industry sectors in Australia and key overseas markets.
Duties Include
Analyse and respond to requests by researching, evaluating, selecting, and presenting data and information to meet the needs of internal and external clients.
Assist with trade and investment data queries to support industry strategy and client work.
Provide advice on research techniques and appropriate data sources in response to specific requests.
Organise and coordinate the delivery of current awareness services, including newsletters and alerts.
Provide training on the use of subscription databases and other information resources.
Assist with registration to subscription databases and liaise with vendors to resolve access issues.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop and deliver tailored information services and resources.
Assist in maintaining the Information Centre’s intranet site.
Participate in resource selection and trial processes for the Information Centre and internal clients.
Support technical and administrative functions, including activity measurement and reporting.

Eligibility
Australian citizenship – the successful candidate must be an Australian citizen.
