Government department tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking for talented Project Managers / Officers to join their busy team for a casual 12 months temporary assignment.
About the Role
As a Project Manager / Officer, you will provide specialist advice and technical expertise to staff and stakeholders, including on workforce development. In addition, your key duties are as follow:
- Develop and manage project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework.
- Perform independent research work and analysis including the preparation of draft reports on relevant project activities.
- Coordinate regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
- Prepare draft written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
- Monitor project budgets, review and report on expenditure and assist with procurement and contract management.
- Identifying and assisting with the management of project risks, issues and benefits.
- Contribute to project quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs.
About You
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Proven experience as a Project Officer ideally with background in workforce planning
- Ability to perform at a high level in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in a government department, agency or public sector
- An understanding of disability, health, allied health or related sectors

- Manager: $602.55 per day + super
- Senior: $60.26 per hour + super
- Mid-Level: $55.24 per hour + super
- Multiple locations available:
- Newcastle NSW
