Reporting to the Procurement Team Lead, the Purchasing Officer will be responsible for managing purchase orders, supplier stock levels, and freight coordination to ensure efficient and timely procurement of goods from both local and international suppliers. In this key role, you will help maintain optimal stock levels, meet company targets, and uphold high reliability standards.
The key accountabilities of the role will include:
* Manage purchase orders with overseas and local suppliers
* Ensure stock availability by maintaining supplier safety stock
* Monitor and update forecasts for all products
* Work closely with freight forwarders to track shipments and resolve issues
* Expedite overdue orders and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
* Collaborate with sales and warehouse teams to ensure stock meets customer demand
* Maintain procurement systems and ensure data integrity between platforms
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to company profitability
To be successful in this role:
* Experience: Background in procurement, purchasing, or inventory management (international purchasing experience is a plus)
* Tech-Savvy: Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
* Communication: Clear, confident, and professional verbal and written skills (Ability to speak Mandarin will be highly regarded)
* Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and make decisions under pressure
* Team Player: Collaborative and proactive approach to supporting internal teams
* Customer-Focused: Commitment to ensuring stock availability to meet demand
